Under Pressure is a top-down urban survivor where the collective pressure of modern life has weakened the barrier between the real world and The Fold — a parallel dimension that is real, but ambiguous.
The hero possesses Sight: a rare sensitivity that lets them perceive Motes around vulnerable people, places, and urban situations before the open crisis. When local Pressure reaches its limit, reality gives way — a Breach opens and the same city block becomes a survivor containment zone.
The Motes manifest as Hollows, and the hero must contain the opportunistic invasion without ever fighting people. Fall, and you suffer Collapse — cast back out into the normal world to try to stabilize the area again.
